Photo 365 Day 44 Pine Cone

I chose this shot because I love the blur behind the pine cone.   Shot from about 8 feet on macro with a flash.  I didn’t expect much from the shot, but really started to like it as I was looking through the files afterward.  Trying a few new things with FXphoto to get a quick, but finished frame.  Let me know what you think of this one.

  1. Great shot.
A good example of using a shallow depth-of-field to bring attention and your eye to the subject.
There is almost no depth of field in macro photography.
You can achieve it in regular photography by using a wide open aperature (low f stop number). Adjust for light conditions with shutter speed and/or ISO.
As I said, not a lot wrong with resolution and color rendition of that lens.
