My Canon G9 has a photo stitching feature that allows you to make cool panoramas. The problem is that it doesn’t allow you to manually set the aperture/shutter settings. The result is the cut line you see in the photo above. I know Photoshop and some other programs have the same capabilities and the solution to the issue is to make the stitching in post instead of trying to get it in the camera. Regardless, I think the photo above in the header is nice. The photo is from our OBX vacation in August.
