Water Taxi

From a rainy mid-summer morning on the Annapolis City Dock, here is the water taxi that connects downtown to Eastport via the harbor and Spa Creek.

I remember as a kid my dad would take my brother and I on day trips all over the place.  Downtown Annapolis was a two or three time a year stop for us.  To the right of the trees in the back of this photo, in front of the row of buildings, was the Annapolis Market House.  There are plans to redevelop the property now and it sits mostly empty.  However, when I was a kid it was a working market house.  We would always eat lunch in the Market house on our trips to Annapolis.  On several of those trips we would take a ride on the water taxi, or the Harbor Queen.  I’ll have to post a photo of the Harbor Queen soon.
